How to care for your tile
We have some easy tasks and tips that will help protect the look and longevity of your new tile flooring, even if your time is limited! While you don't need to spend a lot of time caring for your tile, there are some basic things you should do regularly to keep it looking great.
Tile Maintenance Tips
Sweep, dust, and vacuum your tile floor on a regular basis. Make sure you use a vacuum without a beater brush, as a beater brush can result in scratching. Wipe down, damp mop, and steam mop your flooring every so often. Don't damp mop your tile for at least 72 hours after installation to be sure the grout is fully cured.
And don't use any cleaners containing acids, vinegar, chlorine, or ammonia—this can damage the grout or the surface of the tile itself.
Tile Spills & Stains
Most spills on tile flooring can be wiped up, but be sure to clean up spills quickly since liquid can make your tile flooring slippery.
For stubborn stains, consult with your manufacturer’s guidelines. Â
