LAMINATE
How to care for your laminate
We have some easy tasks and tips that will help protect the look and longevity of your new laminate flooring, even if your time is limited! While you don't need to spend a lot of time caring for your laminate, there are some basic things you should do regularly to keep it looking great.
Laminate Maintenance Tips
Practice preventative maintenance and be careful not to drag furniture when moving it. Lift it only! It would help if you also placed floor protectors underneath heavy furniture. This will prevent scratching and indentations.
Sweep your new laminate floors regularly, but don't use abrasive cleaners, steel wool, or scouring powder on your laminate. Spot clean (and occasionally deep clean) your laminate using manufacturer-approved products.
Laminate Spills & Stains
Most spills on laminate flooring can simply be wiped up, but be sure to clean up spills immediately since liquid spills can make your flooring slippery.
For stubborn stains like chewing gum or candle wax try using a credit card to gently scrape the spot away from the floor.  For other common stains, consult with your manufacturer’s guidelines.  Â
