How to care for your carpeting
We have some easy tasks and tips that will help protect the look and longevity of your new carpeting, even if your time is limited! While you don't need to spend a lot of time caring for your carpeting, there are some basic things you should do regularly to keep it looking great.
Carpet Maintenance Tips
A good vacuum cleaner is your carpeting's best friend. Invest in a quality vacuum and use it regularly! Whichever vacuum you opt for, make sure you use it thoroughly—vacuuming removes dirt and dust from your carpet's fibers that would otherwise dull its appearance over time.
We also recommend the occasional professional cleaning or shampooing.
Carpeting Spills & Stains
When you spill something on your carpeting, clean it up as soon as possible. If you don't act fast, it will soak into the fibers and become a stain. Blot the spill with a dry cloth or paper towel.
For a stain, use warm water to rinse and blot the area. If a stain remover is needed, work it in gently. Don't apply more than is needed. When done, thoroughly rinse the spot with warm water and blot again with a dry cloth or paper towel.
